Job summary

LEGENDS GLOBAL is seeking an Audio/Production Visual Technician for on-site support at The Sanford Center in Bemidji, MN. The role is hourly and event-based, with 5–20 hours weekly and compensation of $15.00 per hour.

You will set up, operate, and strike AV equipment for live events and coordinate with clients and vendors to ensure seamless productions. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and 3–5 years of live-event experience; a technical degree or certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and strike audio, video, lighting, and presentation equipment for live events, meetings, and productions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to audiovisual systems before and during events.
  • Coordinate with clients, event staff, and vendors to understand production requirements and deliver high-quality event support.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, testing, and inventory management of audiovisual equipment to ensure operational readiness.
  • Assist with event load-in/load-out activities, including equipment transportation, cabling, staging, and system configuration.

Qualifications
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience working in a live performing arts venue/center/theater.
  • Technical degree or certification preferred.
Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge and experience working with stagehand personnel.
  • Knowledge of operations, maintenance, and facility management.
  • Working knowledge of applicable OSHA, state, and other work environment safety regulations.
  • Working knowledge of fire and public safety issues.
