Job summary

Legends Global in New Orleans, LA, seeks a Production A/V Technician to support over 200 events yearly, including Saints/Pelicans broadcasts and concerts. You will set up, operate, and troubleshoot broadcast, audio, lighting, and video gear on busy event days.

Responsibilities include working with clients, meeting A/V requirements, and providing on-site technical support while adhering to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced venue environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical degree or certification preferred.
  • Five years of experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and break down broadcast, audio, lighting, and video gear for 200+ events yearly.
  • Support game day and special events broadcasts.
  • Meet event A/V requirements.
  • Assume assigned production role as required.
  • Respond to client needs professionally.
  • Communicate clearly and politely.
  • Demonstrate communication, organization and customer service.
  • Operate equipment for successful event production.
  • Provide on-site technical support during events.
  • Contribute to special projects.
  • All other duties as assigned.

POSITION: Production A/V Technician DEPARTMENT: Production REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor FLSA STATUS: Hourly/Non-Exempt

Summary Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Production Technician for Legends Global/Caesars Superdome | Smoothie King Center | Champions Square.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Setup, operation, breakdown, inventory, and maintenance broadcast, audio, lighting, and video equipment needs for over 200 events per year
  • New Orleans Saints and Pelicans game day broadcast, Concert & Special Events
  • A/V requirements
  • Assumes assigned production role and responsibilities as required
  • Understands and responds to client needs
  • Communicates in a friendly, respectful, and understandable manner
  • Demonstrated communication, organization, and customer service skills
  • Operate equipment requirements for successful event production
  • Provide technical support throughout events as assigned
  • Work on special projects
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications

  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Technical Degree or certification preferred
  • Five (5) years of experience in a related field
  • Experience in broadcast production and A/V equipment for assigned responsibilities
  • Must have a working knowledge of broadcast production, audio, video, lighting, and general A/V equipment

This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.

  • Able to operate machines such as scissor and bucket lifts, and able to work at heights over 50 ft
  • Must be able to lift and push a minimum of fifty (50) pounds and spend long periods on your feet
