GBH is offering a part-time paid internship in the Aspire Works program at the GBH Archives. The role focuses on cataloging videos for the American Archive of Public Broadcasting, testing cataloging software, and improving tooling.
You will learn archival principles, gain mentorship from staff, and contribute to large-scale metadata projects. This paid internship runs during the Aspire program with a hybrid work location in Boston, requiring on-site days and a personal computer with wifi access.

Our current hybrid approach requires staff to work onsite a minimum of two days each week, every Tuesday and Wednesday, Hybrid staff are also welcome to come in additional days each week or may be asked to come in on other days by their manager.
The GBH Archives catalogs, tracks, organizes, and preserves the media used to create GBH productions. The GBH Archives holds physical and digital media and paper records, including materials that need to be retained for production, legal, financial, historical, or administrative purposes. GBH Archives also collaborates with the Library of Congress to coordinate the American Archive of Public Broadcasting, a national effort to preserve and make accessible historically significant public radio and television programming that has aired over the past 70+ years.
The GBH Archives is offering a part-time paid internship for a student in the Aspire Works Internship program.
Paid Internship $17/hour (Part-time, 20 hr/wk)
As a host site for the Aspire Works Internship Program, GBH provides participants with hands‑on experience, mentorship, and opportunities to develop workplace skills while contributing to meaningful projects in public media.
Dates: September 14th to December 4th Candidates must have their own computer and access to Wifi. Candidates must be active in the Aspire Program
