Job summary

MediaVine Productions in Denver, CO is seeking an Audio Visual Design Engineer to design AV systems, producing design documentation and supporting installations from planning through troubleshooting.

The role focuses on aligning designs with MediaVine Pro Audio Video standards, creating line drawings, BOMs, and cost estimates, and collaborating with sales and installation teams to ensure on-time, on-spec delivery. Onsite, full-time with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in AV systems design and integration across audio, video, lighting, and control.
• Proficiency with design tools including D-Tools, Visio, and AutoCAD (Vectorworks is a bonus).
• Familiarity with Google Suite preferred or Microsoft Suite.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, architectural plans, and system requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
• Ability to prepare a Bill of Materials and labor/travel cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Design AV systems including audio, video, lighting, and control in accordance with standards.
• Create detailed design deliverables such as line drawings, rack layouts, and narrative descriptions.
• Prepare comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOM) and prelim labor and travel cost estimates.
• Partner with the sales team to clarify client requirements and refine design proposals.
• Coordinate with installation teams to support accurate implementation that meets project specs.
• Provide technical guidance during installation and troubleshooting as issues arise.
• Maintain ongoing client communication to support satisfaction and address needs.
• Review and support validation of AV construction drawings for 100% accuracy before implementation.
• Collaborate with installation teams to ensure designs align with building codes and project requirements.
• Provide ongoing support and testing during system installation.

MediaVine Productions is hiring an Audio Visual Design Engineer in Denver, CO for an onsite, full-time role. The position focuses on designing audio, video, lighting, and control systems, producing technical documentation, and supporting installations from planning through troubleshooting.

Role Overview

The Audio Visual Design Engineer will create complete AV system designs aligned with MediaVine Pro Audio Video standards and industry requirements. This includes developing design documentation for pricing and labor planning, collaborating with sales and installation teams, and reviewing AV construction drawings to help ensure accuracy before implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design AV systems including audio, video, lighting, and control in accordance with MediaVine Pro Audio Video and industry standards.
• Create detailed design deliverables such as line drawings, rack layouts, and narrative descriptions to support system pricing and labor estimates.
• Prepare comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOM) and preliminary labor and travel cost estimates.
• Partner with the sales team to clarify client requirements and refine design proposals.
• Coordinate with installation teams to support accurate implementation that meets project specifications.
• Provide technical guidance during installation, including troubleshooting as issues arise.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients to support satisfaction and address technical needs.
• Review and support validation of AV construction drawings by reading, identifying accuracy issues, and applying redlines or comments as needed to help ensure drawings are 100% correct prior to implementation.
• Collaborate with installation teams to ensure designs align with building codes and project requirements.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting during system installation and testing.
• Deliver high-level customer service by responding to client concerns and providing clear, accurate information throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in AV systems design and integration across audio, video, lighting, and control.
• Proficiency with design tools including D-Tools, Visio, and AutoCAD (Vectorworks is a bonus).
