Job description

Our client is currently seeking a qualified Audio Visual and Printer Technician to join their team onsite in Dallas, Texas and provide end-user support for a long term contract.

Vendor Management:

  • Manage third party Videoconferencing / Printing maintenance agreements
  • Oversee vendor-led installations, configurations, and maintenance of videoconference rooms (Screens, Display, Audio services, Network and Computer Hardware)
  • Oversee vendor-led installations, configurations, and maintenance of Printer Devices with Client
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for VC and Printing (Client) vendors, managing schedules, resolving issues, and ensuring timely project completion
  • Review vendor plans and verify hardware placement and proper system configuration
  • Conduct on-site inspections before, during, and after installations to ensure compliance with organizational standards and services
  • Address and document deficiencies or non-conformities and follow up with vendors for prompt resolution

System Testing and Configuration:
  • Coordinate / execute technical tests for VC Rooms and Printer devices
  • Test all vendor-installed systems to ensure proper functionality, performance, and integration
  • Validate the operation of cameras, content transmission, network connectivity, meeting logins, and device connectivity for VC Rooms
  • Test Printers access and connectivity for all users from Print Servers and use of Papercut
  • Configure videoconference systems, including user permissions, software settings, and integration with networks and existing platforms
  • Papercut platform admin configuration
  • Fax over IP admin configuration
  • Print Security and Printer Server admin support

System Maintenance Oversight:
  • Coordinate vendor-led maintenance and upgrades to ensure systems remain functional and up to date
  • Monitor system health on a weekly basis and report recurring issues to vendors for corrective actions
  • Validate completed maintenance work through testing and system performance checks
  • Coordinate systems upgrades and systems refresh for VC and Printers
  • Support VC and Printers lifecycle projects

Documentation and Reporting:
  • Management and administration of Zoom videoconferencing system
  • XDM and Client fleet management admin

Printer inventory management:
  • Printer security management (Settings standardization)
  • Maintain accurate records of vendor activities, including installation details, configurations, maintenance logs, and testing results
  • Generate progress reports, identify risks or delays, and communicate updates to management
  • Document system diagrams, hardware inventory, and issue resolution history for reference
  • Serve as Client main POC (attend weekly, bi-weekly and monthly report meetings)

Training and Support:
  • Ensure end-users and staff are trained in vendor-installed systems, including basic operation and troubleshooting
  • Customer service and meetings planning & support third party vendors
  • Provide ongoing technical support for users and escalate issues to vendors as needed
  • Support video conferencing connections across multiple locations during the sessions
  • Support VIP and final users with access to the meeting rooms and calendars
  • Main POC for printer related issues and escalations
  • Perform root cause analysis, coordinate incidents resolution, main POC for printer related escalations

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 + years of experience supporting A/V equipment and software and small to multifunctional printers
  • Provide follow up support for end-users with issues and installations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to stand long periods of time and walk to desks
  • ServiceNow ticketing system experience is a plus
  • CompTIA A+ Certification is a plus (not required)
  • Previous Vendor Management/Coordination experience


Wage Range:
The rate for this position is between $18.75 - $29.70 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
