Job summary

Apple seeks an experienced Data Scientist to advance telemetry intelligence for optimizing device audio experiences in Cupertino, onsite. You will analyze large-scale audio session and device telemetry data to uncover patterns, then translate findings into predictive or adaptive improvements.

Collaborate with engineering and product teams to drive data-driven product decisions. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of data science or ML experience, strong Python and SQL, and experience with streaming

Qualifications

• Experience with telemetry and time-series data.
• Experience with predictive modeling at scale.
• Experience with real-time or streaming data pipelines.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools.
• Proven experience with large-scale data platforms or cloud data infrastructure.
• Strong communication skills to translate data insights into recommendations.
• Experience using Git in collaborative environments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong Python programming skills for analysis and automation.
• Advanced SQL skills for querying large datasets.
• Experience building data pipelines (ETL/ELT).
• Experience with Spark (Apache Spark).
• Understanding of data modeling and data quality.
• Experience applying statistical analysis or ML techniques to behavioral data.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large-scale audio session and device telemetry data to identify patterns in user behavior and system adjustments.
• Create analytical datasets and workflows that enable scalable analysis and experimentation.
• Build and maintain data pipelines that convert raw telemetry into dependable analytical datasets.
• Investigate opportunities for predictive or adaptive system behavior to enhance the device audio experience.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate telemetry insights into actionable product improvements.
• Increase data accessibility and reliability through automation and internal data tooling.
• Support experimentation and data-driven decision-making across audio and device interaction scenarios.
