Job description

The Portland Campus Audio Technician supports the Mannahouse We Are Vision by implementing, maintaining, and operating live audio systems for all worship services, events, and gatherings at the Portland Campus. This role exists to create excellent sound environments that support worship, preaching, and ministry. The Audio Technician works closely with the Worship Pastor, Worship Team, and Dream Team volunteers to ensure audio excellence that reflects Mannahouse’s commitment to Spirit-led, biblically grounded, and Christ-centered worship.

As part of the Mannahouse staff, this position requires a heart aligned with the mission, values, and spiritual culture of Mannahouse, walking in personal integrity, ministry involvement, church attendance, and faithful stewardship.

  • Hours: Full-Time
  • Campus: Portland
  • Reports directly to the Lead Worship Pastor, Portland Campus
  • Collaborates with Service Producer, Visual Production Team, and Worship Coordinators
  • 3 to 5 years of live audio production experience, including church or worship ministry context
  • Deep knowledge of audio consoles (digital and analog), microphones, wireless systems, speakers, DSP, audio networking, and audio troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in live mixing for worship teams, choirs, and speakers
  • Ability to train, coach, and develop volunteers in live audio production
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to respond quickly to live service needs
  • Able to manage time effectively, work independently, and stay calm under pressure
  • Physically able to lift equipment, run cables, and complete hands-on system setup
  • Familiarity or proficiency with administrative and project management systems such as Planning Center, ClickUp, Slack, Google Workspace, or similar platforms
  • Must be a member in good standing of Mannahouse, including consistent attendance, ministry participation, and tithing

Responsibilities

  • Oversees all live audio production for worship services, events, and gatherings at the Portland Campus
  • Operates and maintains audio systems for all auditoriums and auxiliary rooms, including FOH, monitors, broadcast mix, and stage audio
  • Oversees the dedicated audio mix for livestream services, ensuring consistent sound quality that reflects Mannahouse’s worship
  • Trains and leads Dream Team volunteers in live audio production, including Sunday services, rehearsals, and special events
  • Collaborates with the Worship Pastor to support service planning, stage setup, and musical needs
  • Manages all audio system repairs, routine maintenance, and equipment inventory for the Portland Campus
  • Ensures all audio systems are fully functional and service-ready for every gathering
  • Provides technical support during services and events as needed
  • Recommends system upgrades, improvements, or adjustments as technology or ministry needs evolve
  • Actively participates in Mannahouse culture, staff rhythms, worship services, and team events
