Job summary

Austin PBS, the local community PBS station in Central Texas, is seeking a hands-on Audio Intern to support studio and field-based programming this spring. You will work closely with the Lead Audio Engineer and Production Coordinator on immersive live audio production, mixing for broadcast, and post-production workflows.

This in-person internship offers exposure to on-air content, live events, and multimedia storytelling.

Qualifications

Current undergraduate student actively enrolled in a college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship.
In-person internship; available for a minimum of 14 weeks.
Interest in broadcast production, live events, and music production.

Responsibilities

Assist audio staff with pre-production, studio, field, and post-production tasks.
Prepare input lists, stage plots, microphones, and gear for studio and field shoots.
Observe or assist with mixing audio for live audiences (FOH), band monitors, and final recording mixes.
Participate in sweetening, file delivery, and other post-production processes.
Attend assigned studio and field productions as available.
Collaborate with producers, engineers, and crew to support high-quality audio for Austin PBS programming.
Complete additional tasks as assigned based on production needs.
