Job summary

SGS Consulting is seeking an embedded firmware engineer to develop and optimize audio subsystem firmware on custom hardware platforms in California City, CA.

You will collaborate with hardware, software and QA teams to define requirements, validate designs, and ensure robust system integration.

Responsibilities include board bring-up, hardware validation, writing clear documentation, participating in code reviews, and supporting manufacturing with firmware issues.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems.
• Experience with RTOS or bare-metal firmware development.
• Experience with distributed compute (multi-core, multithread) development.
• Familiarity with audio signal processing concepts and hardware interfaces (I2S, PDM, I2C, SPI, UART).
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills using lab equipment and software tools.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
