Job summary

Protege is hiring a Frontline Data Engineer (FDE) to own technical success for all audio customers and build reusable data pipelines. You will partner with the GM of the vertical, product and platform engineering, and commercial teams to meet external requirements and deliver robust solutions.

This role suits engineers who thrive on solving hard problems, owning customer outcomes, and working in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment with occasional after-hours work when deals are live.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering experience with direct customer or external technical stakeholders.
• Experience building/operating data processing or delivery systems at scale.
• Strong ability to translate vague requirements into actionable plans.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end engagements with audio data deals from feasibility to delivery.
• Build and operate data pipelines turning raw audio into organized, sellable datasets.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to convert customer requests into reusable tooling.
