Job summary

Protege is seeking a Frontline Data Engineer (FDE) to own end-to-end engagements with video data customers, building scalable pipelines and reusable playbooks. You will partner with the GM, product and platform engineering, Data Lab, and commercial teams to deliver bespoke datasets to customers.

This role is ideal for engineers who thrive on learning, solving hard problems, and owning customer outcomes in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering experience with customer exposure.
• Experience working with media data, preferably video.
• Experience building/operating data processing systems at scale.
• Customer-facing ability, translating requirements and building trust.
• End-to-end ownership from problem definition to delivery and support.
• Comfort with high ambiguity and fast pace.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end customer engagements from feasibility through post-delivery support.
• Evolve the measurement layer to describe and sell datasets and manage quality.
• Turn deal work into platform improvements and reusable playbooks.
