Job summary

SAE Institute North America in Atlanta seeks an Audio Engineer Adjunct Instructor to teach courses using the Student-Centered Active Education model. You will inspire, guide, and support students across assigned programs while aligning instruction with SAE policies.

You will establish an engaging classroom, contribute to curriculum development and campus events, assess students, maintain attendance and grades, and participate in faculty development and advising activities, ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• For program courses toward a Bachelor’s degree: master’s degree required; if not in the teaching field, hold a credential at/above program level.
• Minimum of 4 years of industry experience since completing qualifying degree.
• Temporary exception possible for non-master’s with extensive work experience, with progress toward degree.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes as assigned in accordance with SAE policies and procedures.
• Deliver instruction aligned with the Student-Centered Active Education model.
• Establish a classroom environment conducive to learning and student engagement.
• Contribute to a learning culture by participating in advising, curriculum development, and campus events including orientation and graduation.
• Manage the learning environment by keeping attendance records, submitting grades and reports on time, and enforcing SAE policies.
• Plan and prepare for classes and student success with activities that support learning outcomes.
• Advise and support absent or high-risk students and document activities.
• Complete faculty development activities annually to improve instructional delivery and skills.
• Maintain instructor eligibility according to applicable regulations.
• Abide by all SAE policies and procedures.
• For adjuncts: perform duties as assigned and support campus needs.
