About Us

WITF is a nonprofit media organization committed to high-quality, public-interest journalism that informs, empowers, and serves our diverse community. Our newsroom covers the issues that matter most — from local government and education to social justice and climate — with integrity, transparency, and a focus on underserved voices.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Distribution: Optimize headlines, images, and copy for social and search platforms; schedule and post content to reach targeted audiences.

• Engagement: Foster dialogue with our community online, moderate comments, respond to feedback, and represent the content team in digital spaces.

• Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and analyze key audience metrics; produce regular reports to inform content team decisions and measure progress against goals.

• Collaboration: Work closely with producers, managers, and the development team to align audience engagement with editorial priorities and fundraising campaigns.

• Innovation: Test new tools and tactics for distribution and engagement, staying current with trends in nonprofit media and digital journalism.

Requirements

· Strong editorial judgment and excellent writing/editing skills

· Experience with audience analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Parse.ly, CrowdTangle, Chartbeat)

· Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Later)
