Job summary

Yoder and Frey, a division of Euro Auctions Group, seeks a hands-on Yard Manager to oversee auction stock, ensure accurate descriptions, coordinate loading/unloading, and prepare equipment for sale at our Florida site.

This role requires an organized, proactive individual with strong problem-solving and communication skills, comfortable working indoors and outdoors year-round, and physically fit to climb on large equipment. 29 days PTO, Health Insurance, 401k.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years management experience.
• Minimum of 1 year stock control experience.
• Experience working in a yard setting.
• Experience with construction and/or agriculture equipment.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage all yard operations to ensure smooth running of auctions.
• Oversee booking in of all auction stock and ensure accurate descriptions.
• Safely coordinate loading and unloading activities.
• Prepare stock for sale with photography and display on the website.
• Coordinate workloads of yard staff and subcontractors.
• Liaise with marketing to ensure equipment is photographed.
• Resolve stock-related issues and schedule delivery/collection times.

Job description

A division of the Euro Auctions Group, Yoder and Frey have been conducting auctions of construction equipment, trucks, trailers, and agricultural machinery since 1964 with sites based in Florida, Ohio, Texas and Georgia.

Key Activities:

• Manage all yard operations to ensure the smooth running of all auctions.
• Oversee the booking in of all auctions stock ensuring accuracy of descriptions and correct procedures are followed.
• Safe coordination and control of all loading and unloading activities.
• Ensure all auction stock is suitably prepared for sale, photographed, and displayed on the company website.
• Manage and coordinate the workloads of all yard staff and subcontractors.
• Liaise with the marketing team to ensure all equipment is photographed.
• Resolve any stock related issues.
• Liaise with customers and haulers on suitable delivery and collection times.

The Person:

This role requires an organized individual with excellent problem solving and task management skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to work both indoors and outdoors year-round and be physically fit to climb on and off large equipment.
