Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a dependable Lot Driver to move, stage, and park vehicles on Auction property and transport cars to lanes during sale days. You will follow safety rules and assist with on-site vehicle needs.

Work schedule is up to 4 days per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, with outdoor conditions year-round. The role requires a valid license, physical mobility, and the ability to work in a fast-paced auction environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods.
• Ability to walk long distances.
• Regularly stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, squatting, and climbing.
• Ability to lift 1–15 pounds.
• Vision: close and distance, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles through Auction lanes on sale day in a safe manner.
• Drive vehicles to and from designated areas on Auction premises and to and from customer dealerships and businesses, while observing Auction driving rules and defensive driving principles.
• Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by the supervisor or team leader, move vehicles as necessary, and locate lost vehicles.
• Assist with getting vehicles operating as needed: inflate tires and jump-start vehicles using a battery box and air tank; notify when a vehicle is inoperative or out of gas.
• Assist customers and coworkers as needed.
• Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling safe behaviors.
• Actively participate in safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management; overtime may be required.
