Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is seeking a Driver I - Non-DOT to safely move, stage and park vehicles on Auction property and drive them between lots and customer businesses. Day shift, Monday through Friday with specific hours that vary by day, at an hourly rate of $14.42.

Responsibilities include driving through auction lanes on sale days, assisting with vehicle operation, keeping safety at the forefront, and coordinating with supervisors.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to enter and exit vehicles regularly.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Ability to walk long distances.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, squatting, and climbing frequently required.
• Ability to lift 1–15 pounds.
• Vision abilities include close, distance, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Auction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles through auction lanes on sale day in a safe manner.
• Drive vehicles to and from designated areas on Auction premises and to and from customer dealerships and businesses, while observing driving rules.
• Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by supervisor or team leader.
• Assist with getting vehicles operating; inflate tires and jump start vehicles as needed.
• Notify supervisor when a vehicle is inoperative; notify Service or Gas Truck Driver when vehicle is out of gas.
• Assist customers and coworkers as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and actively participate in safety activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.
