Job summary

Cox Automotive is hiring for a vehicle movement associate at our auction facility in New Jersey. You will drive vehicles through sale lanes, shuttle cars between lots and customer sites, and help with basic vehicle needs while following all safety rules.

The role is 3 days per week, 8:30am-5pm, with an hourly pay rate of $21.16. Prior auction or vehicle-handling experience is a plus, but training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods.
• Ability to drive vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions.
• Physically able to walk long distances and lift light loads (up to 15 lbs).
• Experience with vehicle movement on auction properties is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles through auction lanes on sale days.
• Move vehicles to/from designated areas on premises and to customer lots.
• Line up and park vehicles as directed; locate lost vehicles.
• Assist with basic vehicle operations and safety checks; notify supervisor if a vehicle is inoperative.
• Support customers and coworkers as needed; adhere to safety policies.
• May require overtime as business needs dictate.
