Job summary

AutoNation Ford Sanford in Ellenwood, GA is seeking a Title Clerk to prepare tag and title documents, submit transfers to the DMV, and handle title processing for auction transactions.

You will maintain vehicle jackets, verify fees, ship titles to buyers, and stay current with DMV rules. Excellent communication and customer service are required; experience with DMV processes or Auction Edge/ASI is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of experience in a dealership position preferred.
• Previous tag and title experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Comprehensive knowledge of title & DMV laws and regulations required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Experience with DMV and/or Auction Edge/ASI auction systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Preparing tag and title documents
• Submitting all legal transfer documents to the DMV
• Preparing checks to reimburse Buyers for any DMV fees
• Inputting title information into the auction software for sold cars
• Determining outstanding fees owed through looking up VIN in state DMV system
• Preparing and maintaining vehicle jackets
• Keeping titles secured until customers come in to retrieve them
• Preparing express shipments or registered mail and shipping titles to customers who have paid for their vehicle
• Administering all title processing for auction transactions
• Create title report and amounts owed for flooring companies
• Keeping current with applicable state laws
• Monitoring and keeping current with DMV laws and regulations
