Job summary

Cox is seeking a Transportation/Lot Operations role in Texas to coordinate the movement of vehicles through the sales lane, assign drivers and support personnel, and oversee the flow of traffic at the auction. The team ensures vehicles move smoothly from entry to block and parking while maintaining accurate run lists.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, addressing issues on the lot, responding to inquiries, and reporting safety concerns.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Safe drivers with valid license needed.
• Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Basic mechanical know-how to identify flat tires, low gas, jump-starts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vehicle movement through sales lane to block and parking.
• Assign drivers, jump start/battery operators, and push truck operators.
• Inspect support equipment for proper working order.
• Address missing vehicles, overflow areas, inoperable vehicles, and other issues.
• Maintain run list for keys, late entries, and late changes.
• Respond to customer and dealer inquiries and concerns.
• Oversee parking of sold vehicles and re-parking of non-sold vehicles.
• Report theft, lot damage, or safety concerns to management.
