Job summary

America's Auto Auction – St. Louis is seeking an Auction Gate Security Attendant to monitor gate access, verify VINs and dealer information, and support daily auction operations. This entry role serves as the first contact for customers, dealers, and transport drivers.

The position offers hourly pay of $16.00–$18.00, comprehensive benefits, paid time off, 401(k) with company match, and career growth opportunities. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 3:00pm–11:00pm, in Centreville, IL.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to stay alert in a fast-paced environment.
• Security, military, law enforcement, or related experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Control and monitor vehicle and visitor access at the auction gate
• Log incoming vehicles and verify VINs, stock numbers, and dealer information
• Inspect vehicles for damage, tampering, or discrepancies
• Maintain gate security and secure facility access points
• Lock gates, doors, and set alarms when required
• Assist with auction-day traffic flow and customer service
• Communicate professionally with customers, drivers, and team members
• Perform other duties as assigned
