Job description

We are currently seeking an Attractions Tour Guide to join our team at the legendary Queen Mary. The Attractions Tour Guide is responsible for providing information and answering passenger questions about tours, while delivering the highest level of service in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a tour guide or attractions host/hostess, with a passion for the Queen Mary and her history.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to learn and retain the ship’s historical and technical information.
• Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy in job functions.
• Physical ability to move throughout the Queen Mary (standing, walking) for extended periods.
• Clear and direct communication skills with guests, using a positive, clear speaking voice.
• Ability to read, understand, and write simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, nights, and weekends.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Queen Mary’s history and operations.
• Learn and present tour scripts effectively.
• Open and close attraction areas.
• Greet passengers warmly and acknowledge them upon arrival.
• Perform attraction attendant duties when not leading tours.
