Job summary

Urban Air Fort Union is seeking an Attractions Technician to maintain and repair attractions and equipment. This role focuses on accurate repairs, documentation, and keeping attractions in peak working order. You will read diagnostics, assist with troubleshooting, and ensure a safe, organized work area.

Flexibility is required for nights, weekends and holidays, with regular attendance. Prior amusement equipment knowledge is helpful but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED, or minimum of one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Some knowledge of amusement equipment is preferred but not required.
• Work flexibility (nights, weekends and holidays, as needed).
• Basic working knowledge of hand tools and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining work area and back end in a neat and orderly manner
• Maintain adequate supply of tools and machinery

• Maintain a safe work environment and assist Supervisor to ensure staff adheres to all safety rules
• Advise Supervisor on any problems and/or potential problems discovered during maintenance of Attractions
• Ability to work various shifts and regular attendance is a requirement for the role
• Perform other related duties as assigned

This role will be responsible for the maintenance and appearance of all attractions. The Attractions Technician will assist with facilitating the repair and maintenance of our attractions and any associated equipment. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• Work in noisy, fast-paced environment with distracting conditions
• Move about facility and stand for long periods of time (over 2/3 of the time)
• Standing, kneeling, bending, walking, reaching above shoulder, pushing and pulling
• Requires ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 300 lbs. (70+ pounds with the assistance of a dolly)
• Ability to wear personal protective gear
• While performing the duties of this job, the Attractions Technician is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, climb, and use hands and fingers to operate various tools (i.e. drills, ladders, chemicals, etc.).
