Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Cardiology NP/PA/RN to join as an ATTR Clinical Consultant on a contract basis. This remote role requires 10–20 hours per week and offers flexible scheduling to support AI-driven clinical labeling and model improvement.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in cardiology, 1–3 years in Heart Failure or ATTR clinics, and strong clinical judgment to distinguish ATTR cardiomyopathy and interpret PYP scans. Experience with AI/ML teams is a plus.

Qualifications

• NP, RN, or PA with 5+ years of cardiology-focused experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in a Heart Failure or ATTR-specific clinic.
• Experience evaluating or managing suspected or confirmed ATTR cardiomyopathy, including PYP scans.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to explain decisions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Review patient charts to assess the likelihood of ATTR cardiac amyloidosis, even with incomplete information.
• Identify clinical signals, including patient history and diagnostic findings like PYP scans.
• Document evidence-based reasoning, distinguish ATTR from similar conditions, and maintain labeling standards.
• Refine assessments based on new evidence and AI model feedback.
• Explain clinical decisions to technical teams and meet labeling deadlines.
• Work independently and asynchronously to improve AI model performance.
