Job summary

Mercor is seeking a part-time cardiologist consultant in the United States to help improve an AI model that flags patients with ATTR cardiomyopathy. You will review charts, apply evidence-based criteria, and label cases, communicating reasoning to engineers and data scientists.

The role requires 2+ years post-fellowship experience and hands-on experience with ATTR cardiomyopathy and PYP scans. Commitment of 10–20 hours weekly is required, with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship.
• 2+ years of post-fellowship cardiology practice.
• Experience evaluating ATTR cardiomyopathy and interpreting PYP scans.

Responsibilities

• Review patient charts to assess likelihood of ATTR cardiomyopathy.
• Document clinical reasoning using explicit criteria and communicate uncertainty.
• Apply consistent labeling standards and refine assessments based on AI feedback.
• Explain clinical decisions to engineers/data scientists and complete labeling batches on schedule.
