Job Description

Allstate Insurance Company seeks a current 3L Law student to join the Client Litigation Services (CLS) Department as a Senior Consultant I (3L Law Clerk). CLS represents policyholders in claims-related litigation and disputes nationwide, as well as defending the Company in low to moderate exposure bodily injury and property damage lawsuits.

While awaiting bar exam results and admission, under supervision of an admitted attorney, the Senior Consultant I prepares pleadings and motions, conducts discovery (including document review and client interviews), prepares trial materials, and summarizes research.

Key Responsibilities

1. Review new files, draft pleadings (answers, motions) and discovery requests
2. Prepare briefs for small claims court cases (NY)
3. Draft responses to discovery demands and assist clients with discovery questions
4. Review and serve discovery responses
5. Assist in preparing trial, arbitration, or mediation materials
6. Attend arbitrations, depositions, mediations, and trials with an admitted attorney

The position begins in early to mid-August, pending bar exam results.

Compensation

Annual salary ranges from $62,800 to $114,175, based on experience and qualifications.

The selected candidate will undergo a background check.
