Job summary

DM Injury Law, a fast-growing personal injury firm in the Midwest, seeks an attorney to manage a personal injury pre-litigation caseload and build client relationships from intake to resolution.

You will earn a transparent compensation package of $115,000 – $170,000 per year (base plus quarterly bonuses) with uncapped origination pay, plus a full benefits package and a performance-driven culture in Kansas City or St. Louis.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to obtain Illinois Bar license in St Louis or Kansas Bar license in Kansas City (UBE score or reciprocity).
• Organized and self-directed approach to a high-volume caseload.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working with legal technology and case management platforms.
• One year of personal injury experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a personal injury pre-litigation caseload from intake through demand and resolution.
• Build and maintain client relationships through proactive communication.
• Negotiate directly with insurance adjusters to maximize client recovery.
• Draft demand letters, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
• Collaborate with paralegals and case management staff in the St. Louis office.
• Develop referral relationships that grow your book of business and income.

Compensation: $115,000 – $170,000 (Base + Quarterly Performance Bonus) High performers regularly earn above this range, and total compensation has no ceiling.

We are adding roles in both our Kansas City and St. Louis offices. You'll carry a personal injury pre-litigation caseload — building client relationships, negotiating with insurers, and moving cases toward resolution — while dedicated paralegals, case managers, and intake staff handle the administrative load so your time stays on law.

What We're Looking For

Required

• Eligibility to obtain an Illinois Bar license in St Louis or Kansas Bar license in Kansas City (UBE score or reciprocity)
• Organized and self-directed approach to a high-volume caseload
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working with legal technology and case management platforms

Preferred

• At least one year of personal injury experience (strong candidates with relevant civil litigation background will also be considered)
