Responsibilities

• Defend Fortune 500 companies and major clients in NY state and federal court.
• Handle litigation from investigation through trial, including mediation/arbitration.
• Take and defend depositions and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Support trucking/transportation matters, including collision defense and cargo loss.
• Communicate with clients and carriers on case strategy.
• Collaborate with partners on caseload strategy and trial prep.

Job Details

Defend Fortune 500 companies, major retail businesses, national transportation carriers, and insurance companies in litigation claims throughout New York State, in state and federal court, working directly alongside firm partners.

• Handle litigation defense matters from investigation through trial, including alternatives like mediation and arbitration
• Take and defend depositions
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
• Support trucking and transportation matters including collision defense, cargo loss, and catastrophic injury claims
• Communicate directly with clients and carriers on case strategy
• Collaborate closely with partners on caseload strategy and trial preparation

Looking for:

• New York Bar admission (required)
• 1+ years litigation/insurance defense experience
