Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active membership or eligibility to practice law in Virginia.
• At least 1 year of experience in regulatory, business, or transactional law preferred.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and analyze contracts, policies, and other legal documents for healthcare regulatory compliance.
• Counsel healthcare providers on federal and state regulatory matters.
• Assist with licensure, certification, enrollment, and operational compliance issues.
• Support healthcare transactions and physician/provider arrangements.
• Advise on HIPAA, reimbursement, long-term care, and healthcare employment matters.
• Represent clients in audits, investigations, appeals, and administrative proceedings.
• Prepare regulatory filings and COPN applications.
• Conduct legal research and monitoring of regulatory developments.
• Work directly with healthcare clients and government agencies to resolve complex issues.
