The Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, Public Protection & Advocacy Bureau, Consumer Protection Division – Gun Violence Prevention Unit, seeks an experienced Assistant Attorney General to join the GVPU in Boston or regional offices. The role focuses on enforcement, consumer protection, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with government, industry, and community stakeholders.

Requirements include Massachusetts bar admission (or eligibility), at least five years of full‑time legal

Competenze

Must be a member of the Massachusetts bar or eligible for admission.
A minimum of five (5) years of full-time legal experience with emphasis on investigations and litigation.
Civil enforcement experience is required; experience with criminal/regulatory enforcement is a plus.

Mansioni

Screen and develop new matters aligned with GVPU enforcement priorities.
Lead complex investigations into business conduct and consumer harms.
Draft and litigate enforcement matters in state and federal court, including pleadings and discovery.
Coordinate with teams across the Office and with regulatory partners to advance enforcement efforts.
Engage with community stakeholders and develop communications strategies.
