Job summary

Massachusetts AGO is seeking an experienced Assistant Attorney General for the Gun Violence Prevention Unit (GVPU) within the Consumer Protection Division to advance enforcement, industry accountability, and regulatory compliance.

The role focuses on leading investigations, drafting pleadings, and litigating matters in state and federal court, with collaboration across government and community stakeholders. The position supports public safety and equitable service to MA residents.

Qualifications

• Must be a member of the Massachusetts bar or eligible for admission in short order.
• Minimum of five years of full-time legal experience, including investigations and litigation.
• Experience handling complex investigations and regulatory enforcement is preferred.
• Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Screening and developing matters aligned with GVPU enforcement priorities.
• Leading complex investigations into conduct across industries.
