Job summary

We Are Legal Revolution, a well established Los Angeles defense litigation boutique, seeks a 2 to 5 year Medical Malpractice and General Liability Associate to join its Los Angeles office on a hybrid basis.

You will independently manage a personal caseload, handle pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial preparation, and collaborate with partner trial lawyers to develop defense strategies for hospitals, physicians, insurers and other defendants in California courts.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in personal injury or defense litigation.
• Admission to the California Bar and experience in California courts.
• Solid work history where practical experience is prioritized over academic pedigree.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a personal caseload under partner supervision across medical malpractice and general liability defense.
• Handle day to day litigation tasks including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Analyze records and liability issues in personal injury, product liability, and related defense matters.
• Engage with clients, risk managers, experts, and witnesses to develop defense strategy.
• Work directly with partners on hearings, mediations, settlement discussions, and trial support.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The firm is seeking a 2 to 5 year Medical Malpractice and General Liability Associate with:

• 2 to 5 years of experience in personal injury or defense side litigation
• Proven ability to manage a caseload and handle core litigation tasks
• Admission to the California Bar and experience in California courts
• Solid work history where practical experience is prioritized over academic pedigree
• Interest in medical malpractice, general liability, and related defense work in an in office then hybrid setup
• $170,000 to $175,000 base salary for candidates with 5 years or less, depending on experience
• Reasonable annual billable expectation of 1,920 hours
