Job summary

Padgett Law Group in Illinois seeks a Foreclosure Attorney with at least 5 years of litigation experience, licensed in Illinois. This attorney will handle foreclosures, including complex litigation, and guide other foreclosure attorneys when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and review legal documents for foreclosures and litigation.
  • Organize case files, track deadlines, and coordinate with paralegals.
  • Attend mediations, court appearances, and sheriff sales.
  • Prepare for appearances with Supervising Attorney.
  • Collaborate with state/state team members.
  • Participate in weekly state meetings.
  • Engage with Supervising Attorney in weekly one-on-one.

We are currently searching for a Foreclosure Attorney with at least 5 years of Litigation experience, licensed in Illinois. This attorney will handle foreclosures including complex foreclosure litigation cases and provide other foreclosure attorneys with guidance when necessary.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents for second level review of the Supervising Attorney.
  • Organize case files, track legal deadlines and coordinate with paralegals and legal assistants on case logistics.
  • Attend Mediations, Court Appearances, and Sheriff's Sales.
  • Assist in preparation in advance of appearances.
  • Collaborate with members of the state team.
  • Actively participate in weekly state meetings.
  • Engage with Supervising Attorney in a one-on-one weekly meeting.
Requirements

J.D., licensed in Illinois and in good standing in all jurisdictions

Ability to work with others in a congenial and team-oriented manner.

Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and be adaptable to continual change.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
