Legal Services of North Florida is seeking a civil practice attorney to lead the Elder Stability Legal Project. This role offers the chance to provide comprehensive civil legal services to older adults, including estate planning, wills and powers of attorney, public benefits, and housing stability.
The attorney will expand access through community education, clinics, and partnerships, while mentoring other staff and shaping a growing elder law program within our nonprofit firm.

This attorney will lead our Elder Stability Legal Project, a new initiative providing a broad range of civil legal services to older adults. This position offers the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of older adults through legal advice and representation on matters including estate planning, wills and powers of attorney, public benefits, housing stability, and other elder law issues. The attorney will also expand access to legal services through community education and engagement, legal clinics, and partnerships, while providing training and mentorship to other LSNF staff members to strengthen our program-wide elder law practice.
Attorneys at LSNF have the abilityto work collaboratively with superior legal professionals in civil litigationand administrative law to strategize and advocate on behalf of clients and seekjustice. LSNF legal staff also engage in significant litigation including largescale impact work and appellate work. To fulfill the mission to remove barriersto legal access, LSNF carries out community education and outreach withtwo Justice on the Block mobile response units whereindividuals can speak to an attorney, apply for our services, or haveassistance filing pro se documents.
Applicants should be a member of TheFlorida Bar in good standing, with preference given to candidates with publicinterest or legal aid experience. Candidates must have strong organizationaland communication skills, be comfortable interacting with clients, and have a desire to advocate.
