Job summary

This attorney will lead our Gun Violence Project, a dynamic initiative providing a broad range of civil legal services to individuals who have been impacted by gun-related crimes or offenses. This position offers the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those affected by gun violence, helping clients navigate complex legal issues that may include housing stability, family law, victims' rights, public benefits, and more. Once trained, this position will supervise one paralegal and one staff member focused on community engagement related to the Gun Violence grant.

Attorneys at LSNF have the abilityto work collaboratively with superior legal professionals in civil litigationand administrative law to strategize and advocate on behalf of clients and seekjustice. LSNF legal staff also engage in significant litigation including largescale impact work and appellate work. To fulfill the mission to remove barriersto legal access, LSNF carries out community education and outreach withtwoJustice on the Blockmobile response units whereindividuals can speak to an attorney, apply for our services, or haveassistance filing pro se documents.

Applicants should be a member of TheFlorida Bar in good standing, with preference given to candidates with publicinterest or legal aid experience. Candidates must have strongorganizationaland communication skills, be comfortable interacting with clients, and have adesire to advocate.

Salary offers depend on experience.
