Job summary

Fredrikson & Byron, P.A. seeks an experienced Attorney Development Manager to shape the growth and success of our attorneys across the firm.

You will partner with chairs, HR, and firm leadership to support onboarding, performance, career progression, and retention. This role blends strategic talent management with hands-on coaching, program development, and data-driven insights, offering opportunities to design training, oversee performance reviews, and influence culture by developing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree preferred.
• J.D. and large law firm experience strongly preferred.
• Five+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing and implementing learning and development programs.
• Proven coaching skills and ability to influence leadership.
• Experience with LMS and adult learning principles.
• Strong project management and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary development resource for associates and staff attorneys.
• Build trusted relationships with attorneys and practice leadership.
• Conduct regular development meetings focused on goals and career planning.
• Provide coaching on professional skills and firm expectations.
• Support supervisors with guidance on development and performance conversations.
• Monitor development milestones and identify opportunities.
• Design, coordinate, and improve attorney training programs.
• Coordinate CLE opportunities and measure program effectiveness.
• Manage annual attorney performance review process.
• Partner on retention, staffing, and workforce planning.
