Job summary

APR Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Attorney in Sacramento, CA, with 5–12 years of construction defect or general litigation experience.

The role is open to 100% remote or hybrid arrangements with a Director Hire, offering a salary between $160,000 and $195,000. The selected candidate will join a firm handling diverse transactions and litigation for a broad client base, including multinational corporations and private individuals, within California and Nevada.

Qualifications

• Jurist Doctor (JD) required and CA bar license to practice law in CA.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Skills in persuasion and negotiation.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Detail-oriented with solid computer skills.
• Administrative and managerial experience preferred.
• Jury and bench trial experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients on the best legal practices and provide legal support.
• Prepare case file documents.
• Assemble mediation and trial briefs with the legal team.
• Draft and administer legal documents such as contracts, memos, and motions.
• Review discovery documents and plan the best course of action.
• Maintain hearings, court appearances, and case conferences on schedule.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings, including trials and hearings.
• Coordinate depositions of experts and witnesses.
• Research and interpret laws and rulings and assess risks.
• Maintain case files from opening to closing.
• Maintain client relationships and regularly update on case status.

A Law firm is looking for an Attorney.

Location:Sacramento, CA 95864 (Open for 100% remote or hybrid option)
Position:Attorney(Direct Hire)
Salary:$160K-$195K

Our client is an established mid-sized law firm with 5 offices throughout California and Nevada. Our firm provides a full range of transactions and litigation services. We represent a broad spectrum of clients, from major multinational corporations and financial institutions to family-owned small businesses and private individuals.

Summary:

• Attorney with 5-12 years of construction defect litigation or general litigation. Successful candidates will have exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to build rapport with clients. Ideal candidates must have significant experience conducting complex discovery, taking and defending depositions, attending court appearances, attending mediations, drafting/opposing motions and trial experience.

Duties:

• Consult with clients on the best legal practices and provide legal support
• Prepare case file documents
• Work with the legal team to compile comprehensive mediation and trial briefs
• Draft and administer legal documents not limited to contracts, memos, and motions
• Review discovery documents and define the best course of action
• Adhere to a consistent schedule of hearings, court appearances, and case-related conferences
• Represent the company in legal proceedings, including trials and hearings
• Facilitate the depositions of experts and case witnesses
• Research and interpret law and rulings and anticipate legal risks
• Maintain case file from opening to closing
• Maintain client relationships and communicate case status often

Qualifications:

• 5-12 years of construction defect litigation or general litigation.
• Juris Doctor (JD) Degree and current license by the state bar to practice law in the state of CA required
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Skills of persuasion and negotiation
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented
• Strong computer skills and competency
• Professional attitude and strong personal ethics
• Administrative and managerial experience preferred
• Jury trial and bench trial experience
