Job summary

SR Staffing, a premier professional services firm, seeks a Construction Attorney for a top 200 law firm in New York, NY. The attorney will advise on legal matters across design and construction projects, negotiate contracts, and guide risk management and project delivery.

The role requires admission to the New York bar, 8+ years in construction law, and strong drafting/negotiation skills. Litigation experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in construction law.
• Experience with AIA contracts.
• Admission to practice in New York.
• Ability to serve as outside general counsel to sophisticated design and construction clients.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and client counseling skills.
• Litigation experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Advise architects, engineers, and other design professionals on legal and business matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate professional services agreements and construction-related contracts.
• Counsel clients on risk management, project delivery, and contract administration.
• Assist clients with dispute avoidance and resolution strategies.
• Provide practical day-to-day legal guidance throughout the lifecycle of construction and development projects.
• Support litigation and dispute matters when necessary.
