Job description

A national law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Real Estate Department in New York City. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions with a focus on retail industry matters, including big box retail leasing and acquisitions, alongside a highly regarded and collaborative team.

Compensation & Benefits: $270,000 – $290,000, depending on experience, qualifications, education, licensure, and other relevant factors. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have 6–8 years of commercial real estate experience, with substantial exposure to retail industry transactions. This position offers significant responsibility in handling complex real estate matters, including leasing, acquisitions, due diligence, title review, and negotiations involving both landlord and tenant representations.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school


• Active admission to practice in the State of New York


• 6–8 years of relevant commercial real estate experience


• Retail industry experience, including big box retail matters, strongly preferred
