Kaman & Cusimano LLC in Cincinnati seeks an associate attorney to join our Assessment Recovery group. The role involves matters in assessment recovery, money judgments, bankruptcy, and other real property issues, with substantial client contact and public speaking opportunities.

Ideal candidates have 0–5 years of litigation experience in relevant areas, strong paperwork and discovery skills, and the ability to manage a diverse caseload.

Qualifications

• Must be admitted to practice law in Ohio.
• 0–5 years of relevant litigation experience in real estate, corporate, or contract law, or governmental litigation.
• Ability to manage a high workload and dedication to hard work.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other sophisticated software.
• Availability during business hours with some evenings/weekends for client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Handle matters related to assessment recovery, money judgments, bankruptcy, judgment execution, foreclosure, and other real property issues.
• Maintain significant client contact and participate in public speaking.
• Chair client corporate meetings and manage case workload end-to-end.
• Draft complaints and answers, conduct discovery, prepare witnesses, and support trial preparation and conduct.

This position regularly handles matters related to assessment recovery, money judgments, bankruptcy, judgment execution, foreclosure, and other real property issues. Position Description:

• Cover letter with description of your skills and background
• Must be admitted to practice law in Ohio
• 0-5 years of relevant litigation experience in real estate, corporate, or contract law, or in representing governmental organizations in litigation based civil matters
• Prior work experience must demonstrate dedication and hard work
• Prior experience using a Microsoft operating system and other sophisticated software
• Must be available during business hours, as well as some evenings and weekends for client meetings
• Must be able to demonstrate excellent personal skills

Requirements

• Maintain in-depth knowledge and independently handle all assigned cases, assigned or personally originated, in a diverse case load
