DHS Headquarters is seeking a legal professional specializing in labor and employment law to provide advice and litigation support. The successful candidate will support the Federal Protective Service, requiring extensive experience in federal legal practices.
Qualified individuals must possess a law degree and a minimum of three years of specialized experience in the field. The position offers a unique opportunity to work within the Department of Homeland Security, advising on critical legal matters.
This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the General Counsel (OGC), General Law Division (GLD). The primary purpose of this position is to provide advice, counsel, and litigation support in the areas of labor and employment law for the Federal Protective Service (FPS). This is a non-bargaining unit position.

You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the federal government. You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the federal government.
For this position, specialized experience is providing legal advice and support on labor and employment law matters in the federal government or private sector.
Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level.
