Under broad supervision provides analysis and/ or recommendations on legal issues within the scope and authority of the agency. Acts as liaison or representative between the agency and the Department of Law State Board of Workers’ Compensation
Location: 270 Peachtree Street NW, Atlanta GA, 30303. This position may be eligible for hybrid or remote work, as applicable, and may be adjusted in accordance with business requirements.
State Minimum Qualifications: Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university AND license to practice law in the State of Georgia OR eligibility to sit for the next Georgia Bar examination followed by Georgia Bar exam passage and licensure to practice law in the State of Georgia within one (1) year of hiring OR reciprocity AND Two years of relevant legal experience OR Two years of experience required at the lower-level Attorney 2 (LEP021) SBWC Specific Qualifications and Competencies have a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school; be a member in good standing of the State Bar of Georgia (or be eligible for admission on motion); have excellent legal research, writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills. A successful candidate must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
