Mission Recruiting, LLC represents a confidential California litigation firm seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney with 3+ years of California civil litigation experience. This opportunity is designed for an attorney who wants more than another litigation position and is serious about developing into a confident trial lawyer.

Associates receive meaningful responsibility, hands-on courtroom exposure, and direct mentorship from experienced trial attorneys.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of California civil litigation experience required.
• Experience with discovery, motion practice, and depositions.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage substantive aspects of civil litigation matters.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Handle written discovery and discovery strategy.
• Draft motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Make court appearances.
• Participate in mediations and settlement proceedings.
• Assist with case evaluation and trial strategy.
• Work directly with experienced trial attorneys.
• Second-chair trials and develop toward greater trial responsibility.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.

Mission Recruiting is representing a confidential California litigation firm seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney with 3+ years of California civil litigation experience. This opportunity is designed for an attorney who wants more than another litigation position and is serious about developing into a confident trial lawyer.

Associates receive meaningful responsibility, hands-on courtroom exposure, and direct mentorship from experienced trial attorneys. The firm intentionally develops attorneys toward greater trial responsibility and future first-chair opportunities.

Compensation

• $160,000–$190,000
• Multiple bonus opportunities

About the Opportunity

This is a true trial practice where mentorship, professional development, and courtroom experience are central to associate development.

Rather than spending years focused primarily on research and motion practice, associates work closely with experienced trial attorneys and gain practical experience throughout the litigation lifecycle.

The firm also offers unusual stability. Attorney turnover is exceptionally low, and this is the firm's first associate opening in approximately two years.
