Key Responsibilities

• Manage and advise on civil litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, discovery, substantive motions, and appellate briefs.
• Represent clients in state and federal courtroom proceedings, hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations
• Assist with transactional, business formation, municipal/city government counseling, real estate, and compliance matters.
• Communicate directly and proactively with colleagues and clients to provide clear, candid, and creative legal solutions.
• Communicate clearly, professionally, and accurately with court staff and other attorneys.
• Work proactively with colleagues, while also independently managing workload and case deadlines.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.)from an accredited law school in the United States.
• Active licensein good standing to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky (other jurisdictions are a plus).
• 3+ years of experiencepracticing law, withcourtroom and litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Strong research, writing, advocacy, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle matters efficiently without micro-management.
• Pragmatic, business-minded approach to legal counsel.
• Be a United States citizen.
