Job summary

Hauptman, O’Brien, Wolf & Lathrop is seeking an experienced personal injury attorney for an on-site role in Lincoln, Nebraska. The attorney will lead personal injury cases from intake through settlement or trial, working within a collaborative, client-focused environment.

The ideal candidate holds a JD from an accredited law school, an active license to practice law in Nebraska, with Iowa licensure a plus, and at least seven years of litigation experience with strong negotiation and advocacy

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, valid Nebraska license to practice law.
• Active license to practice law in Nebraska required; Iowa license a plus.
• Strong foundation in personal injury law and seven+ years of litigation experience.
• Ability to manage multiple cases, meet deadlines and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead personal injury cases from intake through settlement or trial.
• Drafting and filing pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
• Represent clients at trial when necessary.

Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Attorney role located in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Attorney will represent personal injury clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• acting as lead attorney on personal injury cases from intake through settlement or trial;
• drafting and filing pleadings, motions and briefs;
• negotiating with insurance companies and opposing counsel; and
• representing clients at trial when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in the state of Nebraska, with active license to practice law in the state of Iowa a plus;
• Strong foundation in personal injury law with 7+ years of litigation experience as plaintiff or defense counsel required;
• Effective negotiation abilities for resolving disputes, drafting settlements, and advocating for clients in discussions and conferences.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team.
