Qualifications

• 3+ years of substantive labor and employment defense litigation experience.
• Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials (3.0+ GPA).
• Open on prior law school rank and previous law firm pedigree; high-caliber work ethic, courtroom confidence, and analytical rigor are primary.
• Excellent legal writing, oral advocacy, case-management capability, and deposition experience.

Responsibilities

• Defend corporate clients and management in employment disputes, including claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, whistleblower actions, and restrictive covenant enforcement.
• Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses, corporate representatives, and expert witnesses.
• Represent clients in state and federal court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and proceedings before administrative agencies (EEOC, Florida Commission on Human Relations, and DOL).
• Provide proactive risk-management counseling and workplace compliance advice to business leaders and human resources teams.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $160,000-$220,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
