Job Details
Responsibilities:
  • 1. Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of legislative, regulatory, and public policy matters.
  • 2. Represent the organization in court proceedings, hearings, and negotiations.

Qualifications:
  • 1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 2. Admission to the New York State Bar.
  • 3. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Government Affairs Attorney, Government Relations Attorney, Legislative Affairs Attorney, Public Policy Attorney, Policy Counsel, Regulatory Affairs Attorney, or a similar role.
  • 4. Proven experience in legal research and writing, litigation, and regulatory affairs.
  • 5. Strong knowledge of the legislative process, public policy, and government regulations.
  • 6. Experience in lobbying or working closely with lobbyists and government officials.
  • 7. Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • 8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • 9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • 10. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • 11. Willingness to keep abreast of new laws and regulations that may affect the organization and its operations.
