Job summary

Megeredchian Law in Burbank, CA, seeks a Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join our growing Litigation Department. The role may suit newly admitted CA attorneys seeking mentorship or experienced litigators ready to independently manage a personal injury caseload.

You will handle all stages of PI litigation, including hearings, depositions, discovery, negotiations, and trial preparation, with training and resources provided to develop your litigation skills and advance within the firm.

Qualifications

• Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage or assist in managing personal injury litigation files from filing through resolution or trial.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal correspondence, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and case analyses.
• Attend court hearings, case management conferences, and related proceedings.
• Take and defend depositions or assist with deposition preparation and strategy.
• Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
• Communicate with clients and provide regular case updates throughout litigation.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to move cases forward efficiently.
• Assist with or lead trial preparation, including exhibit organization, witness preparation, and trial support.
• Maintain organized case files and litigation calendars.

Position Overview

Megeredchian Law is seeking a Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join our growing Litigation Department. This opportunity is open to both newly licensed California attorneys seeking hands‑on mentorship and experienced litigators ready to independently manage a personal injury caseload.

Depending on experience, attorneys will receive the training, support, and resources needed to develop their litigation skills or immediately take ownership of active litigation files. This position offers exposure to every stage of personal injury litigation, including court appearances, depositions, discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiations, mediation, trial preparation, and overall case strategy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Personal injury litigation experience (plaintiff or defense)


• Experience independently managing litigation files


• Experience with depositions, court appearances, discovery, and motion practice


• Trial preparation, mediation, arbitration, or trial experience


• Prior law clerk, externship, or internship experience


• Spanish-English bilingual skills preferred


• Armenian-English bilingual skills preferred

Compensation

Compensation is based on experience, litigation background, and the ability to independently manage cases.

In addition to a competitive base salary, attorneys are eligible for:

• Discretionary year‑end bonus


• Performance‑based commission of up to 5% of attorney fees on supported and successfully resolved existing cases


• 20% commission on attorney fees generated from new client matters originated by the attorney
