A growing law firm based in downtown Dallas with offices in four states is seeking a Texas-licensed litigation attorney to defend electric utility companies throughout Texas.

• Location: Remote position; attorney may live anywhere in Texas.
• Dallas Office: Must be available to come to the Downtown Dallas office on occasion.
• Texas License: Active license to practice law in Texas is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience required.
• State Court Litigation: Must have experience handling lawsuits in Texas state courts.
• Defense Experience: Defense-side litigation experience is strongly preferred.
• Insurance Defense: Insurance defense experience is a plus but not required.
• Billing Experience: Experience entering and managing billable time is preferred.
• Primary Practice: Defense of electric utility companies throughout the State of Texas.
• Travel: Travel throughout Texas as needed, primarily day trips with occasional overnight stays.
• Salary: Attorneys with fewer than 7 years of experience may start between $130,000 and $150,000, plus bonus depending on experience.
• Senior-Level Opportunity: Attorneys with significant applicable experience may be considered for a Non-Equity Shareholder position.
• Earning Potential: Non-Equity Shareholders may earn between $180,000 and $220,000, plus bonus based on billable hours.
• Colorado Opportunity: The firm may assist the right candidate in becoming licensed in Colorado to handle electric utility defense matters throughout the state.
