Job Description

K.S.A.'s:

• Doctorate in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine with specialization in pediatrics.
• Valid licenses for State of Illinois.
• Board certification or board eligibility required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Passion for pediatric care.

Job Duties:

• Conduct thorough examinations on newborns and children to assess their physical and mental development.
• Examine sick children to determine their condition and gather information about symptoms.
• Reach informed diagnoses based on scientific knowledge and individual medical history.
• Prescribe medications and provide detailed instructions for administration.
• Diagnose, treat, and screen for mental health illnesses in the pediatric population.
• Prescribe and interpret lab tests for possible infections or abnormalities.
• Consult with pediatric colleagues and nurses on best practices.
• Examine and treat injuries; refer to specialists as necessary.
• Advise parents on diet, exercise, and disease prevention, emphasizing early detection.
• Maintain updated records of patient illnesses, surgeries, and medical episodes.
• Advocate for patients, families, and staff members.
• Stay current with advancements in pediatrics through seminars and conferences.

$100,000.00 - $1,000,000.00 Salary
