Job summary

Maimonides Medical Center in New York seeks an experienced Internal Medicine physician to join a large academic-affiliated department. You will provide patient care, engage in teaching and research, and contribute to program development within the Division of Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities include supervising residents and fellows, delivering lectures, and collaborating on quality-improvement initiatives. Current NY license and ABIM are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited medical school.
• Graduate from an accredited Internal Medicine residency program.
• American Board of Internal Medicine certification in Internal Medicine.
• Board certified or eligible in specialty area; must sit for exams when eligible.
• Valid and unlimited license to practice medicine in New York; DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to patients in the specialty within privileges.
• Participate in education and research activities; assist with department administration.
• Educate and counsel patients and families; participate in discharge planning as needed.
• Supervise fellows, residents and medical students; participate in rounds and Grand Rounds.
• Engage in clinical research and publish results as appropriate.
